Electrical Rewiring

Electrical Rewiring Services

Whether you’re planning to remodel your home, building a new addition or just want a more efficient and reliable electrical system in an older house, rewiring is the way to upgrade to safe, modern electrical equipment. At Hensey Electric & A/C, we’ve been serving Southeast Texas homeowners for over three decades, and we have extensive experience with both partial and full rewiring projects. Our trained, certified electricians will get you plugged in with the latest in home electrical wiring.

Partial and Complete Electrical Rewiring Services

As a rule, if you live in an older home, we’d recommend having the house completely rewired. Upgrading to modern wiring will increase your system’s capacity to handle a broad range of electronic devices and, more importantly, keep you and your family safe. Our electricians can safely and effectively replace all of the wiring in your home.

Often, we’re called in to rewire as part of a comprehensive home remodeling project, which is great. Even if you’re not planning a renovation, though, you should consider rewiring if your existing system is very old.

We’re also happy to take on partial rewiring projects upon request. Here are some reasons you might want to rewire only part of the house:

  • One room or section of the home has wiring in need of repair
  • You have older wiring in one part of the house that needs to be replaced. Perhaps there’s a newer addition with updated wiring, but the rest of the system is still original to the house
  • You need extra circuitry or outlets for specific applications in one part of the house, such as a music studio, office or workshop space

Full or partial rewiring is sometimes the most cost-effective solution to a range of electrical problems. Consider rewiring if you see any of the following:

  • Flickering or non-functional lights
  • Constantly tripping circuit breakers
  • Buzzing or other unusual noises from switches and outlets
  • Signs of burning or corrosion around outlets
  • Loss of power in one part of the building

Electrical Inspections

While certain electrical issues may serve as clues to your home’s need for rewiring, it can sometimes be difficult to tell whether your system needs to be replaced. If you’re not sure how to proceed or you’re planning a renovation project, have a professional electrician inspect your home to determine the current system’s condition.

At Hensey Electric & A/C, we understand that having consistent, reliable power will help you live comfortably at home. If you live in an older house or have any reason to think your system might need to be rewired, give us a call and we’ll be happy to help.
